My second visit to The Fosters at Holland V. Love the food and ambience - romantic setting, idea for dating couples. :D Remeber during my first visit, there were 1 singer and 1 guitarist. But never see them again. Anyway, the place is worth a visit ;-)

Went Mind Cafe with my colleagues on a Friday night and stayed till the cafe closed - 1am. Had lotsa fun and laugh. It's been a long long time i never have this fun and laugh till my throat was dry and ended up with no voice. Can hardly talk after that. Surprisingly the food were really nice. Thought that their core biz would be games only. If you order the set meal, no charges for 2 hours per person.

Thanks to Tricia and Michelle for the birthday dinner at Hanabi Japanese Restaurant. It was our first visit and none of us appreciate the food here. It's not as great as what we all though it will be.

As for me, I am always very very very particular about the quality of the food. It need not be expensive but it is a must to be fresh and good. If not i would condemn it forever... (maybe) like this one...

At first we were very excited with the menu......

You see the many handroll? In fact, we never order that many, believe the staff may have taken the order wrongly. Not only that, we receive food that is not ordered by us but from the next table instead.

We are trying our very best to finish all the food. Any unfinished food will not be cleared by the stuff...

Had dinner with my ex boss and Bel at HRC. It was a surprise Birthday dinner actually. Was given a complimentary ice cream by HRC. Waiters were kind enough to sing a birthday song for me, however, i rejected it. Am too old for it! hah....

My 2nd visit to Villa Raintree. Quite a disappointment. Waited almost an hour for my turn. Took some pictures of the room that am suppose to do my massage. Decide to change room after that cuz i feel the toilet abit disgusting.

Everytime i took leave and wana to have a good rest at home, my mum definitely will ask me to look after Joven while she cooks and clean the house.

Joven is becoming active each day and i hardly have the energy to keep up with him. He runs around the house with the walking chair non-stop. Not once did he keep still. His hands are super 'itchy', he will bite anything he grab..... such as..... :

My mum's bra! I have absolutely no idea where he got this.... and this is not the end....

Tried to remove it from him but he ended up screaming and crying.

Sometimes i can't stand it and place him inside the pram. But guess what happen...

This lizard has been rather irritating.

Appearing out of nowhere.

It crawled over my feet so many times and scare me to death.

Surprisingly it did not crawl as fast as the other lizards.

There are many opportunities for me to just 'kill' it.

But i did not. Because i am scare of it rather the other way round.

One fine morning, found it lying on the floor.

I stamped my feet against the floor, wanting to scare it off.

However, it did not move at all.

Realised it's dead.

Wonder how it died.

Did i accidentally step on it in the middle of the night?

Anyway, am glad my bedroom is clear of lizard now.

Went to this chinese restaurant for dimsum at Vivo City. Rather surprise it's not as pack as what i have though it would be especially for a Sunday afternoon. Perhaps it is not situated in a prominent location but rather hidden I must say. Unlike those typical chinese restaurant, the chairs are cute and colorful. Most importantly they are comfortable when you lie your back against the '3 fingers' after meal.

Food? The dimsum are fresh and serve hot.

Price? Affordable. $2.80 to $3.50 per item (dimsum)

Worth a try....trust me....

Have been eating these days and unknowingly have put on 2kg. koaz... Am going to start exercising on month of June, need to shed the extra kilos.... :(

Visited this place at Bugis for peranakan buffet. It's dirt cheap, it cost less than 10 bucks per person. How's the food? Not fantastic for sure, variety too pathetic. Well, can't expect too much for the amount paid.

The place is packed with aunties..aunties and old aunties.

It will be my first and last visit...

Long Weekend

Have difficulty waking up each morning and ended late at work almost everyday. Alarm goes off at 6.30am but woke up only at 7.30am. Suppose to report at work by 8.45am but ended up reaching office only by 9.30am.

Tons of work these days. Endless promotions to plan. Can't wait for my Saturday event to kick off asap so i can rest my mind. Too many tiny details to keep track for this event. The only time i can really use my brain and start thinking is when am showering or taking a slow walk home. Other than that, am always rushing here and there like a mad woman during office hours.

Applied leave for the coming Mon & Tue and so looking forward to my long weekend. I want to spend my time wisely. I don't mind spending my lazy afternoon alone in a quiet cafe with my favourite storybook and a cup of hot tea.

Pray hard that mum will not ask me to look after little joven.

My office is not too big, but yet there are politics. I thought i won't be involved as i have always been very very low profile, or in fact very bochup. I always find excuses to 'siam' all company events - family day (outing to zoo), D&D, karaoke, etc. I simply do not like all these occasions. Yeah, you can say am anti-social. Hence, with my bochup character, i do not understand why this particular woman in my company complained that 'I am difficult to handle', when the only time i talk to her was to brief her and the team about promotions. Yes, simply promotions and nothing more. The complaint went up to my GM and Manager, who of course doubt what she says.

Meg to this Lao Chabo - before you starts to point your finger at me, please get your facts right. If you dislike me, tell me right in the face and don't pretend to be nice to me. What goes around comes around. You have to be responsible to your actions and every single word that comes out from your mouth. Good Luck to you.

Had a hard time deciding where to head for dinner. Everywhere seems to be packed with people; and more people. knowing that i hate crowd and noisy place, my buddy brought me to TCC at Marina Keppel Bay. It was only 6pm when we reached and only 3 tables were occupied. By 8pm, the cafe was already full.

I have fallen in love with this place - nice ambience and scenery.

Had a good time catching up with my buddy. Always have endless topic to talk about whenever we meet. Really miss the good old days when we used to hang out together. Am so used to call him when i feel bored or troubled. He is also my 'savior'. Whenever am caught in a boring dinner, i just have to text him and he will definitely come and fetch me home. Now that he is married, I have to remind myself not to call or ask him out so often.

People around me always commented that am fortunate to have a great buddy like him, and yes i do agree totally. :)

Ms Gan's Wedding

My good friend finally got married. I sincerely wished her and hubby blissful marriage and happy always. :-) it was a fun but tiring day. jiemeis were friendly & spontaneous, hence it took only a few minutes for us to break the ice and liven up the morning customary.

Wedding dinner was held at Oriental. As usual, typical singaporeans will not reach till 8pm, dinner finally commenced around 8.45pm. by then i was freaking hungry and exhausted. Ended up stoning most of the time. Promise Ms Gan that i will take care and entertain Nicole (ex colleague from Malaysia) but believe in the end i bored her cuz all i did was yawning and stoning.

Towards the end of the dinner my brain was already scattered. A friend whom i got to know last year called me from behind, i was lost for a while and finally recall. Richard, you are not forgotten ya. Catch up soon :)

Work has been challenging these days. But handling people in my company is even more challenging. I love my job but am totally drained off cuz of some idiotic people and funny rules & regulations that was set down by people from don't know which era. I have to face music from suppliers who demand for payment when some idiots simply don't do their job. Do all local companies love to delay payment??

Am so tired and frustrated dealing with people these days. Human beings are so full of crap and excuses.

Spring Cleaning

I hate spring cleaning though it's once a year. Not because i have to wipe the wardrobe, etc. But this is the day i have to make painful decision - to discard unwanted clothes away. Sometimes i do agree with most guys who commented: why woman has endless clothes to buy? While i was clearing my wardrobe, i ask myself this question too; but yet i would complain 'no clothes to wear' quite often. Throwing away clothes made me feel guilty, like i have commited a big sin. I know i have made many impulse purchases and feel really bad these amount of 'money' i threw away could be a month of allowances of a poor.

I am a sinner :(

Lost & Found Luggage

My sis who just came back from business trip in San Francisco, nearly lost her baggage due to a flight delay during transit. Not sure whose fault though. The day she lost her baggage, she called San Francisco (one of the airport) to check the status of the baggage and the man told her that her baggage is already on one of the SQ flight. But SQ says there isnt any luggage found, etc. My sis got mad the next day, rang SQ and gave them a big scolding. After an hour, a guy called and said the luggage was found. So meaning the luggage has been there for quite some time but just there no one bother to check?! They never give an explaination when my sis questioned.

My sis who felt quite sored about the incident decides to lodge a complain to SQ and give them a call. After 3 days, still no reply. She then called them up and guess what happen?? The lady on the line says:"Sorry there wasnt any record about the complain." WTF??? All along i thought we had the most fatastic and world class airline, but look at the fuck up system they have. I wonder if the luggage that was lost belongs to LKY, will they pee on their pants????

Anyway, the main reason why my sis was so gan cheong is because she bought quite a few Coach bags and all of them were in her luggage. Some of them are meant for our Christmas presents while some of them belong to her colleagues. Am glad the luggage was found, if not i will missed the christmas pressie :P

No way will i skip my breakfast, even thought its weekend and i can sleep for longer hours. Sunday morning me and my family will head out to have breakfast - dim sum, BK, nearby coffee shop, etc. Hear alot of good comments about Coffee Bean breakfast, decided to check it out.

It's fabulous - the portion is quite huge and value for money. Cost less than 10 bucks only.

work has been hectic but challenging these weeks. no time for dinner and party. endless events going on. endless red tapes to follow that almost drives me crazy. couple of nasty and unreasonable people i have to endure and deal with.

i truly believe that there are 3 types of scenerio: First, if you have a good boss, you bound to have to have nasty and political colleagues. having to bear with unreasonable and unprofessional suppliers, i have to endure with their 'not-up-to-the-standard' kind of work. with the tight deadlines, it really gets on my nerve when people still produce the same lousy work despite me repeating numerous time what i actually want.

Be more tolerant and patient, no choice, i guess...

Had a wonderful breakfast this morning before heading for my 'prayer' class at Lighthouse. I have stong cravings for dairy products these days - had nydc cheese cake and strawberry milk. Due to low lactose intolerance, i had diarrhoea after that and need to stop between train stations (to LS) :( Cuz of that, i was late and never make it to class.

My wonderful breakfast turned into a disaster morning for me.

As usual, we will gather at least once a month for hi tea. This time we went Hotel Rendezvous - Straits Kitchen, which serve international buffet. Variety not much, food so-so, sushi not fresh, etc but service were good. The staffs are friendly and fast in clearing plates. Don't think i will be back for the second time i guess....

We are so hungry, no time to 'entertain' little Joven. Decide to leave him on the couch. :p

I don't really feel good these days, eversince last week, am in a dilemma and need a solution to my problem... feeling very down, vexed and frustrated. IT'S NOT PMS, if its what you are thinking now.

It feels even worst when i don't even feel like talking about it. Even when i feel like pouring out, I simply couldn't find the right person to talk to when i scoll down the contacts on my handphone and MSN list. Finally msned my buddy, he too face the same problem as me, but i could sense he feels more down than myself. His last message to me before we end our conversation was:"We will support each other ok".

At this point of time i would really appreciate a friend to sit down beside me, keep me company, without filling in the silent while am in 'screen-saver' mood.

Life is not a bed of roses. It's made up of a complex series of ups and downs, in varying degrees, ratios and proportions. Recently got to know that one of my ex manager's wife pass away with a rare cancer, that only happens to 1 person in every 100,000. It came as a shocking news to me. Life indeed is truly unpredictable and fragile.

Treasure with what you have and don't take life for granted...

I came across an interesting article written by Geoff Tan from SPH a couple of months ago, below quoted from My Paper:

"A farmer's donkey fell into a well and the animal cried while the farmer tried to figure out what to do. Finally he decided that animal was too old and the well needed to be covered up anyway. Am quite an idoit when comes to such stuff, got vic to help me a couple of weeks ago and stayed till 2am but still failed.

Was extremely sick the previous weekend - sore throat, cough, flu and fever that fluctuate and never subsides. Was on mc for 3 days. Force myself to head back to work on the 4th day though am still having my fever. Can't afford to rest any further, tons of work awaiting for me to clear. The endless promotions, events and deadlines made me panic. No matter what, must at least head back to office. If not, can't rest well too.

By afternoon, i was feeling so much better. Fever gone. Believe its my crazy boss and colleagues who keep making me laugh that caused all sickness to go away. hah.

Of course, am not spared with free 'music' at home. Mum keep on nagging and scolding that my sickness has to do with my endless parties, dinners, etc every weekend. Saying that don't understand why out of the 3 daughters she have, am the only one who loves to stay out till to the wee hours....blah blah blah.....

So now, FOR THE TIME BEING, i will be a good gal. Reach home by 10am and sleep by before 12 midnight.

I want to be spared of free 'music' and 'chinese orchestra'.

Finally have time to catch up with my group of clubbing gfs after a long long time. The last time i met them was somewhere last year christmas, and since then i never have time to catch up with them.

But not as long as Jen - 3 or 4 years??? The last time i met her was at the driving range together with Mark. And I still rem both of them almost vomit blood teaching me. hahaha.... But i can't deny Jen's golfing skill has always been improving tremendously everytime i see her. Haiz, as for me, don't mention anymore.... I think am the most stupidest and lousiest golf student that you and Mark have ever seen right?!?!

Decide to visit pump room cuz of the good live band, but the night was spoil by an 'intruder'. I believe this guy was either high with alcohol or drugs, pushed his way towards my direction and stand beside me (absolutely no space though), giving a cheeky and disgusting smile... *Kok pui* Anyway, lucky for us, a group of hiao chabo started to dance with him, and thats when we were able to 'escape' from him...

Brought my parents for hi-tea at aquamarine, where they serve wide spread of asia cuisine. Their all-time favourite. I dun really fancy hi-tea these days, hence sneak out to marina square to shop for like 2 hours, and contributed sales to the mall. Guilty purchase :(

Well, i love to pamper my parents by bringing them around for food on sundays, especially hi-tea. Feel the joy everytime i see their happy faces.

Nice ambience and cosy. Food so-so but service were great. I dun mind going back for the 2nd time though i dun really enjoy the food except for the unlimited serving of salmon sashimi.

My sis bought some moon cakes from Riz Carlton. i was really disappointed when i realised its snowskin mooncake. I really dislike snowskin mooncake cuz i feel that its too sweet. I had it many years ago when i was very young. It was the first time, and also the last time.

She had a hard time trying to convince me to try a quarter-piece, saying how good it taste and i will definitely regret if i don't try. I still say no! Still not giving up, she cut it into tiny mini piece and persuade me to try (or should i say force?!). After much persuasion, i finally give in and tried a tiny piece.

Two Thumbs up! I can't describe how fantastic it is but i manage to finish almost half the box and have to fight for the last quarter piece. I will def go back and get more of it!

Am not a donut fan until my colleagues recommend this Dippin Donut from Central. I thought it is just like any ordinary donut you can get from the nearby neighbourhood bakery shop or breadtalk. But eversince i tried it for the first time, i was like addicted to it. So is my family now!

I heard there is a better one located at Raffles City basement. I swear i will queue for it one of these days.

i never had this biscuits for donkey years and decided to buy when i chanced upon it at a convenient shop at jurong neighbourhood area. I don't really fancy the biscuits but i was attracted to the colors. It somehow brings back some childhood memories.

I remember i love to separate the biscuit portion from the colorful sugar thingy (don't know whats that call). I will then finish all the biscuit first follow by the colorful sugar (cuz it was my favourite). But now, i would simply pop them into my mouth without separating them.

i was quite tempted to try this magnum ice-cream everytime i saw the tv ad. Finally i tried and decide to condemn it forever. It is EXTREMELY sweet. Ya, i know ice-cream suppose to taste sweet and its normal to be very sweet. But somehow the sweetness is kind of different from Hagan Daz and Ben & Jerry. Feel abit giddy after taking it, too sweet for me. Nothing special about it also, comparable to those i had when i was young (30 cents per stick). And they are not cheap, cost 10 over bucks for 3 sticks. I rather have my Hagan Daz....

Pump Room has been quite around for a long time, but i have yet visit till last friday. I always hear good comments about the live band and the interesting lead singer who looks like XXXX.... kekeke.... I love to hang around places with live band, used to frequent Paulenar & Balaclava cuz my office was at suntec then. Paulenar is still my favourite cuz they attract decent crowds! No bengs or rowdy people!

Pump room wasn't our first choice, in fact we wanted to go New Asia Bar for the fireworks, but it was closed for renovation. Wow koaz.

I was in party mood till i knock off at 6.30pm, feel so zombie after that.

Can't deny am getting old, starts to feel tired around 1am, no longer can party till to the wee hours like last time. Expect more parties coming up - Ah Da and AC birthday around the corner.

Irritating MRT Commuters

I can feel my blood pressure going up everytime i took mrt, especially in the morning on my way to work. I have to keep reminding myself to keep cool. Ugly sides of Singaporeans surface - Kiasu, selfish, inconsiderate and rude. No apologise from them even if they are the ones who push or knock you over, in fact they would just give you an impatient look that says - SERVES YOU RIGHT!

Seems like all the courtesy and smile campaigns run by the government are not working at all. Everyone enjoys being rude and wears a grouchy face the whole morning. Absolutely no basic manners!

I do experience a few unpleasant incidents which i wana blog about it:

1) Nobody give way to alighting passengers.

2) Women pushing their prams vigorously towards your direction, and no apologies even if the wheels roll over your feet.

3) Smokers yawn with their wide open.

4) Some do not bother to shower and comb/get their hair. Unpleasant smell!

5) Woman who do not bother to shave their armpits. Showing off their 'unsightful' bushes from the underarm when they raise their hands to grab the handles.

6) Nobody give up their seats to the needy though there are prominent 'signages'.

7) Some simply burp loudly and you can actually smell what they had for breakfast. Economical meehoon?!?!

8) Musical chair - I ever withness 2 passengers 'competing' for a vacant seat, and ended up hiting each other's bum.

9) People standing at the doorway refusing to move in, hence not allowing more passengers to board.

10) Lastly, my bad encounter with a woman while on my way to work. This woman was literally strolling when boarding the train. FYI, the train was not packed and it can allow another 5 to 6 passengers to board. People behind me started to get 'gan cheong' and impatient (when the train goes "ding dong, the door is closing"), ended up pushing me, which indirectly pushed the 'slow-moving' woman.

Woman turned around and looked angrily at me, yelled:" WHY DID YOU PUSH ME?"

Everyone on the train starts to divert their attention on me....

Me: Sorry about it. (Sound calm. I couldn't be bothered to explain too)

Woman:" WHY DID YOU NEED TO PUSH ME? IS THERE A NEED TO PUSH?"..... (She was going on and on, yelling and screaming at me)

I tried to stay calm cuz i really do not want to create any embarrassing scene. Buay tahan anymore.....

Me: Excuse me Miss, i already apologise to you and that i do not mean it. What do you want from me now??? (Keeping my cool and sound calm)

Woman: ........ (finally shut-up and look away)

WTF???

Anyway, i hope i won't bump to that BITCH (or XIAO CHAOBO) again!!!!!

My Buddy

Most of my friends always hear me singing praises of my buddy - about how great he is as a friend. Hence am going to blog about him and our almost-10-years of friendship. Well, i got to know him during Poly attachment - PSB (now known as Spring), and we happen to be working on the same floor but diff dept. He was in IT whilst am in Mktg. He was from Temasek Poly and i was from Singapore Poly. Can't rem how we get to know each other, but we hit it off quite well the first time we talk. Soon, we became great friends and keep in close contact after attachment.

Ours is really PURE PLATONIC FRIENDSHIP! Everyone always thought we will ended up together though both of us were attached (to someone else). Its not easy to stay best friends with opposite sex esp when one is attached. We do have our tough time pacifying our partner that there is really nothing going on between us. Times when both of us were single, we will celebrate valentines day together. No sparks, really!

He is always so accomodating whilst am the badao kind. Used to throw my tantrums only cuz am having mood swings, but he never once raise his voice or snap at me. The most wonderful part about him is that whenver we meet for dinner, he will make sure its a restaurant with nice ambience - no hawker, no coffee shop, no foodcourt. kekekeke.

Decide to catch fireworks on National Day (as usual)

due to road block, dad parked his car at Tanjong Pagar

we then took a train to cityhall then made our way to esplanade

dad has never taken train before and was super blur and lost

anyhow, it was freaking crowded

most people wore red & white to celebrate National Day

First time i could feel Singaporeans' love for their country

we stayed at Via Mar restaurant @ Esplanade from 5pm all the way to 9pm

the experience of watching fireworks and air show live were so diff from tv

everyone cheers and clapped at the same time upon completion of each show :)

Dennis Tan, the floor manager, advise us the right dishes and portion to order so there will not be wastage

every single dish were pretty nice except "si-ji dou"

we feedback to Dennis about it and immediately he removed it away

said that he will feedback to the chef about it

this dish was not charged to my bill at the end of the day

after 10 mins or so, we had a plesant surprise

dennis serve us the following specialty as complementary

the drinks were served in test-tubes

As most of my friends know, am quite a pedi and mani addict. I have been thinking of doing nail art for the longest time, but they are simply too expensive. I wouldn't pay 120 and above for mani nail art. Not for last time, not for now, and MAYBE not for the future. Unless...hmm...there are some really important functions or strike toto and too much money dunno where to spend... :p

Got some really cheap 'fake' nail art at Woodlands Causeway Point. Decide to DIY.

French nail art for $9 only. Comes with 25 different sizes and a small size glue. Hence there will be definitely one that suit your nail size. Its not just simply pasting and gluing. You have to file the 'fake' nails to the length u want. Avoid touching the cuticles part with glue.

Finally its done! :D

Well, if you are attending a wedding function or party, its wise to bring the glue wif you. Cuz it may drop off. I lost 2 of them. Its kind of 'malu'... :(

Went dimsum with my family on a Sunday. Sick of crystal jade and Ming Jiang. Where should we go then...? This time we went Villa Seafood Galleria at Labrador. The ambience is not as nice or 'high class' as we expected it to be. Dimsum were served freshed but most of them were prawns. Limited variety. If you are a prawn lover and love super quiet place, this will be a good choice. Well, i really mean the place was super super quiet... can u believe that we were the only family (diners) in the restaurant?

Have u ever take out your IC and take a proper look at the photo that was taken donkey years ago? i believe most of us are still holding on to the IC that was made at the age of 12 years old. Just curious if everyone looks much better nw? cuter now? slimmer now? Have you ever been accused by anyone (esp bouncer) that the IC does not belong to you?

was out on monday wif my friend. he then stopped his car by the roadside, asked me to help him get a pack of Marlboro at the nearest 7-11, cuz he cant parked his car at the double yellow line.

below my conversation with the malay staff: -

me: can i have a packet of Marlboro, red packing wan (dunno wats tat man)?

staff: IC please.

me: huh? am above 18 lei. (saying it jokingly)

staff: i know. you look older than 18. but its a policy to check first. what if you are not. (he say it with a humor)

me: can't u just make me happy by saying than i dun look like 18 but mayb 15, 16?? (laughing loudly)

staff: (keep on laughing and laughing and laughing non-stop). u sure this is ur IC? how cum u look so funny?

me: its me la... when i was 12 years old. aiya, got scolded from my mum when taking this IC photo. tats y face black black.

i wasn't angry by his comment, already got used to it. if my funny photo make his day and allow him to laugh heartily, why not.

Remebered the last time when i went zouk, the bouncer also laughed at my IC and commented:" is that you?" then it happened at MOS too, the bouncer looked at the IC and my face 3 times to double confirm its me and laugh at it too... so funny meh?

i dun understand why i was always asked to take out IC when i went clubbing wif friends. i believe i look like my age, but just that am petite only nia mah. i remebered everytime went clubbing wif ah da, vic and ac, only me and ac are asked to show IC, and this ah da keep on giggling behind and said both of us look so kiddy. kerm kerm... i dun think we look kiddy la... just that both of us are so short.... wahahaha....

remedy for sore throat, flu & cough

was feeling sick for the past few days,
sore throat, flu and a little bit of cough,
i wonder if i gana diu virus fro my sis
or did i ate too much chocolates?

bought this dove chocolate stick
eat the first stick, then sec stick, third, fourth...
once u start u cant stop.

ate an 2 slice of apple and orange
hopefully the sore throat will go away
but next day sore throat + flu ... SHIT
then middle of the night cough cough ...

stay away from all junk food
ate all sorts of fruits - apple x 1, orange x 2, kiwi x 1, honey dew, papaya
drank many glasses of hot water
think am overdosed with fruits and water
keep goin toilet

i recovered immediately the next day
no sore throat and flu

fruits and hot water really works wonder
its the 3rd time i gana flu and not depending on any medicine. :D

i suffer stomach indigestion again

too many hi teas and buffet this week
first was the dinner buffet at chong qing hot pot
then followed by hi tea at holiday inn
today hi tea at merchant court again
nxt week hi tea at marriot hotel... again...
seems like its a 'hi tea marathon'

i need some healthy food
maybe porriage with kimchi and prinkled lettuce

i really missed the food and cold weather in korea,
maybe i shd migrate there?

went hi tea at Merchant Court with my secondary friends, yes its secondary friends,
lost contact with them for a long period of 10 years,
thru ying, i finally get to see them (miauying, sufen & jenny) again.
too bad, jia jia away to phuket, so cant join us

hi tea at Merchant Court sucks,
was good last time, but standard has dropped now.
too much msg, me and sufen keep drinking water,
stomach filled with water rather than food.

juicy updates were wedding preparation from ying, work, their spouse and when to have kids!
and digging out pass memories when we were in sec school,
we were forced to sing loudly for national anthem, etc
happi to knw that everyone are nw happily married with a good husband, holding a good job & good pay...

glad to know that they are still the same - love to joke & laugh, kind and understanding
of cuz all of them have grown prettier
thanks to the advancement in the new technology - rebonding (hahaha)

I simply don't understand how come some people just born with a big and smelly mouth? When they are told to keep some info confidential, they just simply spread like a big news. Before they spread, don't they understand how the other party will feel?? By spreading someone else secret, is it going to benefit them?

I know the answer, they are simply PERVERT, they feel happy sharing people's secret around as they feel it will make them popular. They do not know the basic need to respect other people's privacy. They do not even try to put themselves in other party's shoes and think about how they feel if they are the victim. Usually these big mouthers will give a lame excuse like, they are concern about the matter so they shared with another party. BULLSHIT!!!

I can only say to those big mouthers, "spread as much as you like, you feel you are getting popular? I can only say you are losing one more friend and increasing your sins! One day you will have the same karma."

Dinner at Chong Qing Hotpot....again...

Woke up with a sore throat yesterday, shit, think flu bug is coming after me. Thinking why everytime i will fall sick if i was going out the next day. Quickly ate an orange, hopefully the vitamin C can help me build up my immune system and fight the flu again. (anyway too late...) Lucky for me, by afternoon i was feeling better and able to meet my ex colleagues at orchard.

I really missed my ex colleagues and was feeling excited to meet them again. We met up for a short while only as i was there pretty late, not enough time for any juicy gossip. haha... Anyway all of us promised to meet up again for Mag's farewell dinner.

Had dinner with Ms Gan and Tricia, poor Michelle couldn't join us last min as she was not feeling well. **sorry michelle, we went ahead for the Chong Qing Hotpot without you.

Lucky Tricia was around cuz it will be damn sian to eat with Ms Gan, esp when it involves buffet. wahaha... This ms gan hor always end with the 'same pattern' when dinning with her. Guess what? She's full of energy when first meet up with us, full of nonsense, talk and laugh non-stop. Then as time passed by, she will be in 'screen-saver' mood, quiet and no expression. Finally she will 'shut down' and always end up with the same 4 words 'i very sian lei'... *faint*

Anyway it turned out to be really a fun and enjoyable dinner.

Crazy for Korean food... again...

Had korean food yesterday with Reece and Bel... yes, again korean food and not tired of it though just back from Korea trip. Am still can't get over with the fact that i did not get to try the bibimbap in Korea so i must have it now! Honestly speaking, i never get to really eat bibimbap though i have been to korea restaurants so many times. Ususally i just get a spoonful from someone else and taste it. That's all.

Visited this particular Korean restaurant in Dempsey, nice ambience and set up. Finally ordered my bibimbap. Finish the whole bowl of rice, not leaving any grain of rice behind except a 'chaoda dao gei'. I swear i won't eat bibimbap anymore, esp entirely on my own. I must say its very healthy as you get to eat all vege and no meat at all. But the taste gets a bit 'ni' after that, very dry also. Think i better stick to my usual order next time - kimchi jigae.

Went Ridgewood close for ice-cream after that. Don't know why i only go for chocolate favor when comes to ice-cream. I will not feel satisfy if i take other favors. They are very generous with the ice-cream and its quite a huge scoope. I must say its like 2x more than what Haagen Daaz offers.

Say hello to my new friend - Toffy. It was shivering in fear when taking car, maybe cause she knows that she is going to get carsick. Vomit shortly after that... poor dog.

Went pawtobello - a cafe and pet boutique, where dogs owners could dine together with their pets. It's a pretty small cafe and was fully booked for the day when we reached there around 4 plus. No choice, we got to sit outside and feed the hungry and happy mosquitoes the moment we sat down. Anyway, i feel that it could be a little bit unhygenic to dine in the enclosed area with the pets. You never know if you could get extra ingredient in your meal, like the dog's hair.

Not sure why the waiters and waitress faces are super 'black', not smiling at all and pretty rude when answering questions. They feel irritated when new customers stepped in also. Maybe they are so tired and frustrating cleaning up the dogs' pee and shit. So owners of pets, please be considerate to the poor waiters and waitress also, control your pets and do not let them wander around.

Refused to drink water wor....

Part 6/6 Korea Trip : Seoul & the Food

This is Korean Traditional Centre where we can hands on to make the staple food of korea - Kimchi. Those Kimchi we made will be given to some old folks home. Afterwhich, we had the chance to dress in Korean Traditional Costume - Hanbok. This is my second time dressed in Hanbok, looks abit funny this time, maybe i choose the wrong top. And think my face abit 'distorted' too. hahaha....

All about Food

The food in Korea is fantastic! My mum who is not a korean food lover, is now addicted to their food. If you ususally ate a bowl of rice in Singapore, you will finish 2 bowls there. Really, not to bluff you.

Korean food are tasty and nutritious. Their eating style is very different from Singaporeans, usually Koreans eat more vege than meat. So i really have fallen in love with their food! Too bad, we did not manage to try their famous bibimbap, kimchi jigae & jia-jiang mian... haiz :( *very sad*

During this trip, we had the famous Ginseng Chicken Soup with Ginsend Wine (Samgetang), Korean Barbeque, Korean Seafood steamboat, BBQ Pork Bulgogi & Jeju Abalone Porriage. *yummy yummy*
